STAY WITH ME AT SAGE

Staycation steɪˈkeɪʃ(ə)n/ - a holiday spent in one's home country rather than abroad, or one spent at home and involving day trips to local attractions.

Sage Hotel West Perth

1309 Hay St, West Perth WA 6005

A cosy and beautifully designed hotel located in West Perth, Sage Hotel is one of Perth's finest 4 star hotels. Close to many Perth attractions such as King's Park, Domain Stadium, Perth Arena as well as a vast array of local café's, restaurants and shopping, Sage Hotel is definitely in a prime location. Upon arrival late afternoon on Friday, I was greeted by friendly staff following an easy check-in. I took the elevator up to my room on level 11 and simply adored the modern, clean and spacious room. The city view was lovely and the room included a good variety of amenities such as a fast wi-fi and coffee machine (absolute must for me), hair dryer, air conditioning, 48" flat screen TV, snack bar, room service and the custom-made bed was super comfortable - like sleeping on a cloud. The hotel also has a gym, meeting room, terrace and restaurant (Julios Italian- À la cart) on site for those just wanting to stay in the area and for the more adventurous, Sage Hotel also offers complimentary bicycles for guests to rent and ride around Perth. After checking in and heading back down to Julio's, we were treated to range of their delicious food and drinks. My favourites were definitely their Arancini -mushrooms, spinach,‏ feta, truffle & parmesan, Italian Olives and Beer Battered Potato Chips. We then hopped on our bicycles and rode down to Kings Park to Moonlight Cinema's where we enjoyed a beautifully set-up picnic with food provided by Julio's and watched the film 'Lion'- a beautiful story based on a true story about a lost child who ends up being adopted by a couple in Australia and 25 years later, with the help of Google Earth reunites with his real family - a very emotional film. After the movie ended we rode back to Sage, enjoyed a white wine while socialising and then went up for a shower (loved the optional rain shower head) and then to bed. In the morning, after a coffee whilst getting ready, we headed back down to Julio's for a continental breakfast with a range of cereals, croissants, toast, muffins, fruit, yoghurt, cheese and cold meats with drinks including a range of juice, coffee or water. It was such a lovely start to a Saturday morning, we didn't want to leave.

Thank you Sage Hotel and Detail for the loveliest Staycation.
