As the festive season steers nearer - this year, I'll be celebrating with bold coral-red lips. I'm not one to wear bright colours often so rocking a bold lip is very different for boring old me. Luckily, with the help of MAC Cosmetics, I was able to achieve the perfect coral-red pout with their Prep + Prime for lips, Lip Pencil in Redd and Matte Lipstick in Lady Danger. I walked into the MAC Store at Westfield Carousel, unsure which shade I would choose from then their extensive range of colours and formulas. I was instantly attracted to their 'nudes' but had to resist as I already own the popular 'Velvet Teddy' plus an entire collection of nude-pink shades. It wanted something Summery - a bold colour that would still suit me so, I opted for a semi-bright red with orange undertones and there you have it, I was matched with Lady Danger.

I was slightly worried about the lipstick being matte as I always find my lips need a lot of moisture as they dry our fairly quickly but, the lovely retail assistant assured me that with the Prep + Prime stick, my lips would stay moisturised and she was absolutely right! Upon application the Prep + Prime stick is soft and smooth on the lips - filling in any cracks, then I use the lip liner to trace my lips to create a more defined line and then fill in with the lipstick. If you need to tidy up - gently dip a cotton tip into make up remover and wipe away. This process can be used for any shade and in terms of duration, this look in particular lasted approximately 5 hours whilst nibbling and drinking.
