It was such a pleasure attending the Swim + Resort Series run by Fashion Council W.A. for the first time this year. I adore our beaches so I was super excited to finally view and photograph a fashion runway set at City Beach. The Sunday show included both the WA Designer Runway Show and Camilla: From Rio With Love but, this post is all about the Camilla Show as it was super fun, vibrant and entertaining.
I loved how Camilla's show brought a Rio celebration to us in Perth. From the incredible dancers to drum performers and even the models looked like they had a lot of fun on the runway - smiling, dancing, cheering on with the crowd yet still remaining professional. It really was nothing like the other shows I've seen before - the positive energy put a smile to my face and left me feeling inspired and energized. The garments were absolutely beautiful - definitely not something you would normally see in my wardrobe as their pieces are super colourful but I do love their off shoulder tops and fish tail ruffle skirts. I have decided to wear more colour this year and I think a lot of you agree considering the poll I put up last week - 70% of you voted colour vs. 30% voted minimal. I hope this all these outfits have left you yearning for Summer cos I know I am desperate for a hot day so I can hit the beach - but first, I may need to find a new bikini. Currently eyeing this one from Camilla and this one from Amore and Sorvete.
